Getting Started
Train
Set
The best way to get started is to first buy a G scale garden rail set.
The most popular starter set is the LGB 78302 Passenger Train set with
sound, it comes with a circular track. It can be purchased
at your local garden rail retailer or online. Prices vary from £156
to £188, so shop around.
Track
With the LGB set you get you get a full circle, so if you want to extend
your layout you can buy an LGB track pack or 900mm long straights. Aristocraft
track have a good selection of straights of various lengths and large
radii's which screw together, its a very good deal at the moment, so
shop around. The LGB and Aristocraft track line up near perfectly. If
you want to use flexitrack, Peco or Tenmille would be a good choice.
