Track Types

The Interlink Garden Rail System has been designed to fit most standard garden rail track. The recessed part of the track sleeper fits over 2mm (5/64") high locating studs on the Fleximount & the Ballast Anchor. Because the recesses vary considerably the configuration of the studs have been design to give a best fit to the track types shown below. The studs allow float but stop the swiveling on the center fixing axis.

Modification B * required. Remove all studs.

Standard Assembly

Modification A: Remove the 2 larger 2mm (5/64") high studs (shown removed)

Modification B : Remove all studs. (see note below)

Whilst O Gauge track can be fitted, the track is flimsy relative to other garden rail tracks so its recommended Ballast Housings be fitted at closer intervals. This link shows O Gauge track in a test bed with Alpine gravel ballast. With all the studs removed nothing stops the track swiveling on the center axis but some O gauge modellers are coming up with varying methods of installation. We will post these soon.
